Problem:

In the United States, federal aid following natural disasters is often unavailable to those who need it most. Disaster relief is typically on a case-to-case basis and it is difficult for people to get the help they need right away, if at all.

Insights:

  1. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) is the main federal agency that helps during natural disasters, but they are not readily available or reliable in many disastrous situations.

  2. The American Red Cross is the most widely recognized voluntary organization that assists and responds to natural disaster relief victims.

  3. Most liquor brands that partner with reputable organizations create trust with consumers, make them feel good about the organization they’re supporting, and use statistics and numbers to drive initiative.

Strategy:

To create a line of alcohol that spreads awareness and donates profits towards natural disaster relief organizations through educational and enticing packaging.
